international trade
New Zealand has a close trade and legal relationship with Australia, enabling close access to supply a large population. There are also agreements with Singapore, Thailand and China which increases New Zealand based exporter’s ability to supply other large populations. The government pro-actively pursues such arrangements to ease cross-border transactions with foreign partners.
The stable democratic government and privatisation of many state services has seen New Zealand become a very efficient and competition friendly economy. This includes a system that enables international investors to relocate, and/or collaborate with local companies.
