Food in Southland

Southland's backyard consists of luscious green fields and clean coastal waters, an area that produces some of the finest quality food for the domestic and overseas markets. The Southland food industry is driven by enthusiastic producers and suppliers who have a passion for showcasing Southland's fare to the rest of New Zealand and the world.

Venture Southland established Food Network South in 2005 which acts as a forum for sharing information and ideas among the region's food producers and hospitality sector.  The network has a membership of 65 companies and is continuing to grow.

Food Network South delivers services to meet the needs of members and enhances the collaborative approach adopted by the Southland food industry. The establishment  of a Food Network South directory offers an easy point of contact for those in the industry and those seeking Southland products.
