Start With i-SITE is a new nationwide marketing campaign that has been launched to raise awareness of New Zealand’s Visitor Information Centres among domestic travellers.

The visitor information network’s new website –

www.i-site.org.nz provides insider tips on what’s on, the best kept secrets and the best food and wine tips for regions throughout New Zealand. The tips are published daily by i-SITE staff from around the country and form the basis of the campaign that will run until January 2010.

i-SITE New Zealand Executive Manager David Wilks says the campaign is the first time i-SITE has run a high-profile domestic awareness campaign. And what better way to raise awareness than through i-SITE staff, whose job it is to be an expert about the place they live in.

"At Invercargill i-SITE we know all the best things to do in the Southland region, places to stay & ways to get there.  Plus we take care of the bookings," Senior Tourism Consultant Karley Henderson-Te Tai said.

With the launch of this campaign and the upcoming summer holiday season, it is more important than ever that businesses are listed on the National Database.  The database puts your product in front of 600 staff covering 87 i-SITE Centres throughout New Zealand.

If you are not listed and are interested in getting on board, please contact Kath Cook on 03 211 1808.
