With a global recession on the cards the Southland Economic Forum will provide the opportunity for people living in Southland to gain an insight in to the current economic situation and identify the issues and opportunities relative to our region.
If you have an interest in the business and or community sectors you are invited to attend and participate in the forum.
Keynote speakers who will provide a national perspective include John Allen, regional commissioner from the Ministry of Social Development, Kel Sanderson, a prominent economist from Business and Economic Research Limited (BERL), Andy West, chief executive of Ag Research and Kathryn Prusas, an executive with Tourism New Zealand.
The Southland perspective will be covered with comment from local sector participants including Retail, Manufacturing, Rural, hospitality and other sectors. Following this, there will be a forum with elected leaders who will discuss issues and identify opportunities for Southland.
Registrations can be made by phoning Venture Southland on (03) 211 1400 or (03) 211 1804 or online.
