Lumsden Facilities Planning

Beginning with the Northern Southland Facilty Review in June 2006 (in association with SPARC and Venture Southland), there has been comprehensive facility planing in this area. A key objective of this process has been to investigate the provision of facilities in Lumsden with a view to best meet the needs of the community with forward planning.

The key outcome from this process has lead to the investigation of a redevelopment of the Lumsden Memorial Hall. To date there has been preliminary discussion with the local community, initiated by the Lumsden Community Board and facilitated by Venture Southland.

As well as preparing background documents, Venture Southland has also contracted an architect to develop preliminary sketches of a possible redevelopment.
