Rimu School Hard courts Redevelopment

The Rimu School Board of Trustees and Parent Teachers Association are currently in the planning stages for a major redevelopment of the hard court area at the school.

Venture Southland has been involved to date with regard to fundraising investigations and the facilitation of associated applications and planning.

The existing hard courts are inadequate and beginning to jeopardise the safety of those who use them. The redevelopment of the hard courts will mean that the school will have the ability to extend the area to enable space for two netball courts and two tennis courts.  This redevelopment will also allow for cricket, soccer, hockey and basketball to be played on the courts.

The project will not only benefit the children but will also enhance the ability to provide an excellent base for many other groups in the community.
