Riverton Community House

Trustees of the Riverton Community Charitable Trust approached Venture Southland to review the current services being provided out of the Riverton Community House for the local community.

The Riverton community has faced huge changes in recent times and the Riverton Community Charitable Trust wanted to ensure that they are providing a service that best meets the needs of the community and enhances the wellbeing of the people in the community.

Over 1000 flyers were sent to the Riverton township and surrounding rural areas. Suggestion boxes and posters were placed at high foot traffic places. A meeting was also held with key community organisations such as St Johns, Plunket, Police etc.

The Riverton Community House provide valuable free of charge services to the community e.g. parenting support, counselling, budget advice, training and courses to name a few.

The Riverton Community Charitable Trust operate a successful information and referral agency which is extremely valuable to the Riverton community.
