Other media opportunities
The following are a few ideas to help you with your publicity. If you know of any that we don't have, please share this knowledge by contacting the administrator: email: angela@venturesouthland.co.nz
School Newsletters
A great way of targeting families. Most schools have newsletters that go out regularly and a friendly call to them may mean you get your information included, particularly if there are educational benefits for the event (eg workshops etc).
Posters
If you want your posters on all billboards around town, these are done by professionals. If you try to do them yourself, then they will get pasted over. Contact Ngaire and Russell Sands on (03) 2165430.
Banners
These are administered and put up by the Invercargill City Council with sites around town in the centre plots etc. You need to book sometimes months in advance (particularly over Summer when there are lots of events on). The ICC have some banners that you can get sign-written, but if you have regular events, Custom Canvas can make them up for you. It costs around $65 per week to hire these spaces, and is well worth the effort as it ensures great awareness of your event. Phone Donna 2111646
