Southland Heritage Building Preservation Trust

Provides members of the public with low-interest loans, to assist in retention, preservation and maintenance of historic and heritage buildings in Southland. Buildings have to be registered with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust and/or on the District Plans of the Invercargill, Southland and Gore District Councils. Tuatapere Amenities Fund

Provides funding for creation, maintenance and enhancement of amenities (either within or outside the Tuatapere Urban Resource Area) for the benefit of the residents within the Tuatapere Urban Resource Area. Examples of eligible purposes include (but are not limited to): community facilities, reserves, playgrounds, utilities; community programmes, activities, events and recreational opportunities; community initiatives aimed at developing social, economic and cultural wellbeing, and health and safety of the community; other purposes at the discretion of the Trustees. Meridian Energy Community Funds

Meridian Energy Community Funds have been established for the benefit of communities living in areas were Meridian’s power generation assets are located. In Southland, this includes the Manapouri power station and the White Hill wind farm, covered by two funds:

• Manapouri Te Anau Community Fund
• White Hill Community Fund

Eligible for funding are community-led initiatives in the communities around these generation assets.
