The Manickam Family

Like most newcomers, leaving their homeland of India for New Zealand six years ago was a big decision for Isaac and Carol Manickam.  Moving to New Zealand before his family, Isaac initially worked on a farm in Otautau, before Carol and their two children joined him six months later.

Carol says that the whole family love living in Southland. "We have found the people to be really friendly and helpful. We have had great support from Multi Nations and made some great friends."

The Manickam’s now have three children who are all involved in typical activities for any New Zealand child, "the kids are involved in so many activities like rugby, music, swimming and girls brigade it is sometimes hard to keep up with them," Isaac said.

The Muhl Family

Hailing from Pebbles in Scotland, the Muhl's moved to New Zealand to escape the 'rat race' and seek more quality time with their family.

Settling on a 'farmlet' outside of Invercargill, the Muhl's enjoy having the space and freedom to enjoy the 'goodlife'.

The children too enjoy the numerous activites available in the south including cycling on the indoor velodrome and gymnastics.
