SUSTAINABLE TOURISM IN SOUTHLAND

Tourism businesses around Southland and Fiordland are looking at their operation in a whole new light through the “Sustainable Tourism South” project.
By looking at their effect on the environment and the community whilst taking into account their staff, their clients, themselves and their financial bottom line they can save money and be a sustainable business in the long run.
The "Sustainable Tourism South" programme, run by Venture Southland in association with the NZ Ministries for the Environment and Tourism, has guided a growing number of accommodation, transport and activity operators towards sustainability goals.
